- Fifteen years ago, one of my college's classmates introduced me a girl-friend, who looked charming, pretty, lovely and younger for her age. At first sight, I fell in love with her, and didn’t know how I could thank the classmate enough. There and then, we made a second appointment that we should have some further talk besides the lake in a park. Of cause I jumped at the offer, and made it at six that same evening.

那该是在十五年前啦，一位同班同学给我介绍了女朋友。那时的她，看上去靓丽迷人，年轻可爱，让我一见钟情，真是不知该怎么感谢我那同学呀。那次会面，我们约好，下次在公园湖畔继续多聊聊，时间也是在傍晚6点。是啊，那时我当然是欣然同意的。


- Already had it come to the time. Somehow, never did she appear. A quarter was over, then another, and then another again. Now and then, I took looks at my watch, to and fro, I stamped anxiously.

第二次见面时间早到了，不知为什么，她就是没露面。有一刻钟了，又是一刻钟，接着再一刻钟，我焦焦虑虑，来回踱步，不时看看表。


- Just then, from behind came a voice, which was thrown so straight in my direction. I looked round, and made it out soon. Oh! with the company of my classmate, the girl I had been waiting for was sitting on a bench a stone’s throw away,  peeping at me all the time.

身后有声了，是冲我的。转头一看，啊，恍然大悟：等的那个她（1）呀，跟我那同学，嗨，就坐在不远处的长椅上，一直在偷偷看着我呢 ... ...
